How to care for items [gold.K18 items]

Hello, this is Yamauchi, a staff member at the Aoyama store.

How are you all doing these days as summer passes and autumn approaches?

As the demand for gold items increases in stores for the fall and winter season,

Today we will introduce you to how to care for gold and K18 items.

LORO's gold items are made from gold bullion, and come in K9, K14, K18,

The base metal is silver or brass, and the product is available in K18 color plating and K18 plating.

There are some measures being implemented.

Color plating is coated with K18 color, and K18 plating is coated with 18K gold. Both are finished with a thick coating to prevent peeling.

Regarding how to care for plating items, polishing with a cloth containing abrasives may cause the plating to peel off, so to keep them in good condition, wipe them with a soft cloth after use and place them in an airtight bag.

Gold is a very soft material, so other materials (alloys) are added to it to make it stronger. The gold content varies from K9 to K18.

This material is resistant to discoloration, but if sweat or sebum is left on the alloy part, it may oxidize and cause discoloration.

As for care, you can keep it in good condition by avoiding leaving it with sweat or sebum on it. After use, we recommend either lightly rinsing it with water and wiping it with a soft cloth or soaking it in a cleaning solution specifically for K18.

We also recommend that you remove your watch in hot springs, the beach, or in a swimming pool, as it may cause discoloration.

At both our Aoyama and Osaka stores, you can also ask for advice on care, so please feel free to ask our staff.

We are now in a period of temperature fluctuations, so please take care of yourselves.

Thank you for reading to the end.
