いよいよ来週に金沢POPUPが開催となりますので、本日は開催会場についてお話をさせていただきたいと思います。
LOROでは年に数回、様々な場所でPOPUPを開催してきましたが、
今回は初めての金沢での開催にスタッフ一同非常に楽しみに準備を進めております。
まずは、一番重要な会場探しです。
金沢は素敵な建物も多く、あまり土地勘もないため正直一番時間をかけて探しました。
そこで見つけたのが【SKLo gallery】です。
チェコやドイツを中心に中欧諸国で集めたアンティークを販売しているセレクトショップで
その3軒隣に2018年、ギャラリースペースをオープンしました。
事前の下見に伺った際、店内に足を踏み入れた時、
店奥から注がれる柔らかな光や風が、ややピリッと緊張感のあるモルタルの空間を優しく中和してくれていました。
この時の体感は、私がLOROのジュエリーに感じている「緊張感の中にある安心感」とまさに同じ感覚で、「これが私が探していた空間だ！」
と心の中で即決したのを覚えています。
その後オーナーの塚本さんからご協力いただけるというお返事を頂いたときは、とても嬉しかったです。
そして塚本さんに色々なお話も聞くことができました。
【SKLo(スクロ)】とは、チェコ語で「ガラス」という意味。
高校卒業後、塚本さんはオーストラリアに留学。
帰国後、金沢を拠点にしながらオーストラリアやヨーロッパを旅し、アンティークショップ【SKLo】をオープンしました。
旅をしている中で、一番好きな街となったチェコ、プラハの街角で多く見かけたSKLOという言葉。
あまりなじみのない字ずらにどこか惹かれたという。
また現在は、農業や飲食店経営、空間デザインなども同時に手掛けるすごいお方、、！
チェコやドイツで買い付けられたアンティークは、家具はもちろん、照明器具や小物まで
幅広いアイテムを自身の感覚を信じて直感的にセレクトしているそう。
今回のPOPUPでは私たちLOROや1117のアイテムの他にも、是非SKLoの商品も楽しんでいただきたいです。
車で10分ほど離れた場所に塚本さんが経営する飲食店もあり、そちらにも連れて行っていただきました！
江戸時代から続いた老舗油問屋だった場所をリノベーションして作られた台湾料理レストラン、【四知堂(スーチータン)kanazawa】
外観から圧巻で、内装まで素敵。空間デザインをしている塚本さんだからこそできる素敵すぎる空間、、！
POPUPにご来店くださったお客様に何かできないかとご相談をしたところ、こちらで販売している台湾の伝統的なお菓子、
「雪花餅(シェーキューピン)」をご用意していただくことができました。
シェーキューピンはドライフルーツやマシュマロが入ったヌガーのようなお菓子。
なんと今回のPOPUPのために、普段お店で販売しているフレーバーの他に
特別にリンゴやイチジクのどのフレーバーもご用意していただけることとなりました。
数に限りはございますが、ご来店いただきましたお客様にお渡しできるよう準備をすすめておりますので、
是非こちらも楽しみにお越しいただけますと幸いです＾＾
今回初の金沢POPUPとなり、緊張と楽しみと、色々な感情がある中で様々な方にご協力をいただき、
ようやく形となり、開催できる運びとなりました。
2日間と短い期間ではございますが、是非ご来店いただきLORO、1117さらにはSKLoのアイテムも楽しんでいただければと思います。

Thank you for always looking at the journal.
The Kanazawa POPUP will finally be held at the end of this month, so today I would like to talk about SKLo-san, the venue.
LORO has held POPUP several times a year in various places,
This time, all the staff members were looking forward to the first event in Kanazawa in Chubu region.
The most important thing is to find the venue.
There are many nice buildings in Kanazawa, and I honestly spent the most time looking for them because I don't know much about the place.
I found [SKLo] there.
This is a select shop that sells antiques collected around Central European countries, mainly the Czech Republic and Germany.
The venue [SKLogallery] opened next to the three houses in 2018.
At first glance, the texture of concrete is cold, but the warm light and wind coming in from behind
I felt something similar to LORO's jewelry, and I was sure that the POPUP held in this space would be a wonderful,
I made an appointment right away.
I remember being very happy when I contacted the owner, Mr. Tsukamoto, and he replied that he would cooperate.
In order to hold the event, I asked Mr. Tsukamoto about various things when I actually visited at a preliminary meeting.
First, "SKLo" means glass in Czech.
Tsukamoto studied in Australia after graduating from high school.After that, as a snowboarder, I lived a round trip between Japan and New Zealand,
After returning to Japan, he worked as a salesperson in Kanazawa for three years.
After that, he traveled to Australia and Europe and experienced many jobs before opening an antique shop [SKLo].
At the same time, an amazing person who does agriculture, restaurant management and space design...!
Prague in the Czech Republic has become my favorite city during my travels.The letters of SKLO that I saw a lot on the street corner.
He says he was attracted to this character, which is not very familiar to him, rather than in English.
Antiques that were regularly purchased in the Czech Republic and Germany are not only furniture, but also lighting fixtures and accessories
They choose a wide range of things intuitively according to their own senses.
In addition to LORO and 1117 items, I hope you will enjoy SKLo items in this POPUP.
Also, there was a restaurant run by Mr. Tsukamoto about 10 minutes away by car, and they took me there too!
[Su-ti-tan Kanazawa] is a Taiwanese restaurant created by renovating a long-established oil wholesaler from Edo
From the exterior to the interior, it's stunning.It's because Mr. Tsukamoto is designing a space, so it's too nice...!
It was so lovely that I asked the customers who came to POPUP if they could do something about it, and they found out that there were some traditional Taiwanese sweets sold here,
How about handing out "Snowflake Rice Cake"?You suggested that.
Shakupin is a nugger-like snack with dried fruits and marshmallows.
Surprisingly, in addition to the flavors that we usually sell at our store, you can now prepare any flavor of apples or figs for LORO.
The number is limited, but we are preparing to give it to our customers,
We hope that you will be able to come and look forward to it too ^^
This will be our first Kanazawa POPUP, and amidst all the tension, excitement and emotions, we have received cooperation from various people,
It has finally taken shape and will be able to hold the event.
Although it is only for a short period of 2 days, I hope you will enjoy LORO, 1117 and SKLo items.
